List of European Union Member States:
As of the year 2021, the European Union consists of the following member states:

- Czech Republic

- Greece
- Hungary
- Ireland
- Italy
- Latvia
- Lithuania
- Luxembourg
- Malta
- Netherlands

- Sweden
Countries with Pending Membership:
In addition to the current member states, there are several countries that are in the process of joining the European Union. Although their membership is not official yet, these countries are actively working towards meeting the EU’s requirements:
- Albania
- Macedonia
- Montenegro
- Serbia
- Turkey
Countries Eligible for EU Membership:
Lastly, there are some countries that meet the criteria for potential EU membership but have not yet started the formal accession process:
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Kosovo*
*Note: Kosovo’s independence is not recognized by all EU member states.
