Step 1: Preparing the Fabric

On one of the long sides of the fused fabric piece, mark the center point. Place the zipper face down along the raw edge, aligning the center point with the center of the zipper. Pin in place and sew using a zipper foot. Repeat the process for the other side of the zipper, ensuring it aligns with the other long side of the fused fabric piece.
Step 5: Forming the Carrier
With the zipper partially open, place the fabric pieces right sides together and match the remaining raw edges. Pin the sides together and sew around the perimeter, leaving a small opening for turning. Trim the corners and turn the carrier right side out through the opening.
Step 6: Completing the Carrier
Iron the carrier to ensure a smooth finish. Topstitch around the carrier's perimeter, closing the opening left for turning. Finally, insert the plastic divider into the pocket, and your fabric cake carrier is complete!
