Viewing Archived Posts on Instagram

The “Stories” folder, on the other hand, presents a collection of your archived stories, which are ephemeral posts that only exist for 24 hours on the platform.

Inside the “Posts” folder, you can choose to view individual posts by tapping on them. This allows you to take a trip down memory lane, reflecting on past moments and experiences. Although the posts are hidden from your profile, they retain their original captions and comments, providing a comprehensive look back at the memory. Should you decide to unarchive a post and make it visible again, simply tap on the three dots on the top right corner of the post and select “Show on Profile.”

Unlike posts, stories don’t retain their original captions or comments when archived. However, they can still be downloaded to your device or shared with others privately via direct messaging.
