The Return of Jafar picks up where the original movie left off: Aladdin and Princess Jasmine are happily together, and Jafar has amazon-quickly-and-easily” title=”How to Return an Item to Amazon Quickly and Easily”>been defeated and imprisoned in his magic lamp. However, it turns out that Jafar’s curse is not easily lifted, and the evil sorcerer soon escapes his prison with the help of his new ally, a parrot named Iago.

Iago, voiced by Gilbert Gottfried, is one of the highlights of The Return of Jafar. Previously a loyal ally to Jafar, he switches sides and teams up with Aladdin and his friends, including the magic carpet and Genie (voiced once again by Robin Williams). The film’s plot revolves around Jafar and Iago’s attempts to take over Agrabah and get their revenge on Aladdin and his friends.
