When it comes to the NFL, one of the most legendary teams out there has to be the Green Bay Packers. Founded in 1919, this team has been a staple in the league for over a century. Every year, they put together a roster of talented players who help push the team towards victory. While the roster is always changing, here’s a look at the current lineup of the Green Bay Packers.

At the quarterback position, we have Aaron Rodgers. Widely considered to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Rodgers has been with the Packers since 2005. He’s thrown for over 50,000 yards and 412 touchdowns in his career, and he’s also won two NFL MVP awards.

Backing him up is Jordan Love, a rookie out of Utah State. The Packers selected him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, hoping that he can develop into a viable starting quarterback in the future.

Moving on to running backs, we have Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams. Jones has been with the Packers since 2017, and in that time, he’s rushed for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. Williams has been with the team since 2017 as well, and in his time here, he’s rushed for over 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns.

At wide receiver, we have a talented group of players in Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown. Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the league, having caught for over 8,000 yards and 59 touchdowns in his career so far. Lazard has been with the team since 2018, and in that time, he’s caught for over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns. Valdes-Scantling and St. Brown are both young players who are still developing, but they’ve shown promise in their time with the team.

At tight end, we have Marcedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan. Lewis has been with the team since 2018, and while he’s primarily used as a blocker, he’s still caught for over 300 yards and two touchdowns during his time with the Packers. Tonyan has been with the team since 2017, but he’s gotten more playing time in recent years. In 2019, he caught for over 200 yards and five touchdowns.

On the offensive line, we have David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, Corey Linsley, Billy Turner, and Rick Wagner. Bakhtiari is one of the best left tackles in the league, having been named to the Pro Bowl four times and first-team All-Pro twice. Jenkins is a young player who has shown promise in his time with the Packers, while Linsley is a veteran center who has been with the team since 2014. Turner and Wagner are both new additions to the team in 2020, but they’ve played well in the past and should provide some much-needed depth on the line.

Moving over to the defense, we have a talented group of players in the front seven. On the defensive line, we have Kenny Clark, Dean Lowry, and Tyler Lancaster. Clark is one of the best defensive tackles in the league, having been named to the Pro Bowl in 2019. Lowry and Lancaster are both solid players who provide support on the line.

At linebacker, we have Christian Kirksey, Oren Burks, Ty Summers, and Kamal Martin. Kirksey is a new addition to the team in 2020, but he’s played well in the past and should help anchor the linebacking corps. Burks, Summers, and Martin are all young players with potential, but they need more seasoning before they can be considered full-time starters.

Finally, in the secondary, we have Jaire Alexander, Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage Jr., and Kevin King. Alexander is one of the best cornerbacks in the league, having been named to the Pro Bowl in 2019. Amos and Savage Jr. are a talented safety duo, while King is a solid cornerback who can provide support on the other side of the field.

All in all, this is a talented and deep roster that should be able to compete with the best teams in the NFL. While there are still some areas that need improvement, the Green Bay Packers are definitely a team to watch in the 2020 season.
