If you want to delete a specific story that is not the most recent, swipe left to browse through all your active stories. Once you find the story you wish to remove, tap on the three dots located on the bottom right corner of the screen. This will open a list of options for that specific story. Among these options, you will find the “Delete” option. Tap on it to delete the selected story.
Step 6: Confirm Deletion
After tapping on the delete option for either the most recent or a specific story, Instagram will ask for confirmation. This confirmation dialog is to ensure you don’t delete a story accidentally. If you’re certain about removing the story, tap on the “Delete” button to confirm.
Step 7: Story Successfully Deleted
Congratulations! You have successfully deleted your Instagram story. The story will no longer be visible to your followers or anyone else viewing your profile. However, it’s important to note that stories are only available for 24 hours after posting, so deleting an expired story won’t have any effect.
