1. Open WhatsApp on your device
The first step is to open the WhatsApp application on your device. Ensure you have a stable internet connection to ensure smooth audio sending.
2. Select a recipient
Next, select the recipient you want to send the audio message to. You can choose an individual or a group from your WhatsApp contact list.
3. Access the chat input box
Once you’ve chosen the recipient, you will find an input box at the bottom of the chat screen. This is where you can type text messages and access other media options such as images, videos, and audio.
4. Tap the microphone icon
To start sending an audio recording, tap on the microphone icon located to the right of the input box. Holding the microphone icon will start recording your audio message.
5. Record your audio message
While holding the microphone icon, start speaking or playing the audio you wish to send. WhatsApp allows you to record messages for up to 2 minutes. Keep an eye on the timer that shows how long you’ve been recording.
6. Release the microphone icon to stop recording
Once you’ve finished recording your audio, release the microphone icon. The audio message will automatically be saved, and you will see a playback button in its place.
7. Play or delete your audio message
If you want to listen to the recorded audio before sending it, tap on the playback button. If you’re not satisfied with the recording, you can tap the “X” icon to delete it and start over.
8. Send the audio message
If you’re happy with the audio message, simply tap the send button (usually a paper plane icon) to deliver it to the recipient. The audio message will be sent instantly.
9. Add a caption or additional text (optional)
WhatsApp allows you to add a caption or additional text along with your audio message. To do so, type your desired text in the input box before sending the audio. This can provide context or any necessary descriptions.
10. Confirm your audio message has been sent
Once you’ve sent the audio message, double-check to ensure it has been successfully delivered. A single tick mark appears when a message is sent, and it turns into double tick marks when it is delivered to the recipient’s device.
That’s it! You’ve successfully learned how to send audio on WhatsApp. Now you can easily share your thoughts, music, or audio recordings with your contacts using this popular messaging platform.
