What You’ll Need
- GoPro Hero 5 Camera
- USB-C Charging Cable (included with the camera)
- Computer or USB Wall Charger
Step 1: Connect the USB-C Charging Cable
Take the USB-C charging cable and locate the USB-C port on your GoPro Hero 5. It is located on the side of the camera. Insert one end of the cable into the USB-C port firmly.
Step 2: Connect to Power Source
Now, you need to connect the other end of the USB-C charging cable to a power source. There are two options: using your computer or using a USB wall charger.
If you choose to connect to your computer, locate an available USB port. Insert the USB-C end of the cable into the USB port on your computer.
If you prefer a USB wall charger, plug the USB-C end of the cable into the charger and connect it to a power outlet.
Step 3: Charging Indicator
Once the USB-C charging cable is connected to both your GoPro Hero 5 and the power source, the camera’s battery icon will appear on the front screen, indicating that it’s charging. Additionally, a red LED indicator on the front or the side of the camera may also light up to show the charging status.
Step 4: Charging Time
Leave your GoPro Hero 5 connected to the power source for approximately 2-3 hours to ensure a full charge. Keep in mind that the charging time may vary depending on the power source.
Step 5: Disconnecting
Once your GoPro Hero 5 has finished charging, you can disconnect the USB-C charging cable from both the camera and the power source.
Now that your GoPro Hero 5 is fully charged, you’re ready to embark on your adventure and capture all those incredible moments with confidence!
Remember to always carry spare batteries or a portable charger if you anticipate an extended period without access to power. This ensures you won’t miss out on capturing those once-in-a-lifetime shots.
Now that you know how to charge your GoPro Hero 5, you can focus on creating amazing content and preserving those cherished memories for years to come. Happy shooting!
