Sophia Lillis has been making waves in the film industry since she starred as the teenage witch in Netflix’s adaptation of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. However, it was her role as Beverly Marsh in the 2017 remake of Stephen King’s It that solidified her status as one of Hollywood’s most promising young talents.

Born on February 13, 2002, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Sophia Lillis began her acting career in 2014, when she appeared in a short film titled The Lipstick Stain, directed by her stepfather, Christopher Columbus. After a few more short films, Lillis made her television debut in the HBO series, Sharp Objects, playing the younger version of Amy Adams’ character, Camille Preaker.

Sophia Lillis has since starred in a number of other films, including Gretel & Hansel, in which she played the titular role of Gretel, and the Netflix movie, I Am Not Okay with This, in which she played Sydney, a teenage girl who discovers she has telekinetic powers. Lillis has also been cast in the upcoming HBO series, The Time Traveler’s Wife, opposite Theo James.

Aside from her acting career, Sophia Lillis is also known for her activism. In 2019, she appeared in a campaign for The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization that focuses on suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth. Lillis has also used her social media platform to raise awareness for issues such as climate change and police brutality.
