Saints Joachim and Anne

The Bible tells us very little about the parents of the Virgin Mary, but what we do know about them is truly remarkable. According to ancient tradition, Saints Joachim and Anne are the parents of Mary, the Mother of God. Although their story is not recorded in the Scriptures, their lives have been a source of inspiration for many throughout the ages.

Saints Joachim and Anne were a devout Jewish couple who lived in Nazareth around the time of the birth of Christ. But the story of Saints Joachim and Anne reminds us that God is always with us, that He hears our prayers, and that He will bless our efforts to raise our children in the faith.
