The Rosary of Our Lady of Pompeii, also known as the Rosary of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a powerful tool for and spiritual growth. The Rosary of Our Lady of Pompeii consists of seven decades, with each decade representing one of the seven sorrows of Mary. These sorrows include the prophecy of Simeon, the flight into Egypt, the loss of Jesus in the temple, the meeting of Mary and Jesus on the way to Calvary, the Crucifixion of Jesus, the taking down of Jesus from the Cross, and the burial of Jesus. Each decade is preceded by an Our Father, seven Hail Marys (one for each sorrow), and a Glory Be.

In addition to the traditional prayers of the rosary, the Rosary of Our Lady of Pompeii also includes a series of short meditations on each of the seven sorrows. These meditations provide a rich source of spiritual reflection, inviting the faithful to ponder the depths of Mary’s love for her Son and her willingness to suffer with him. Through these meditations, we are also encouraged to unite our own sufferings with those of Mary and Jesus, and to offer our pain to God as a means of growing closer to him.
