Now, a decade after her passing, a new request has been issued for and intercession for Natuzza Evolo. The request comes from the Fraternity of the Servants of the Cross, a religious community that was founded by Evolo herself.
In a statement released by the Fraternity, they explain that they are requesting prayers and intercession for their founder because they have observed an increase in negative comments and false accusations being made against her in recent years. They believe that these attacks are a form of spiritual warfare, and they are asking for the support of the faithful in combating them.
The statement reads, in part: “We have noticed with sadness and concern a growing number of negative comments and false accusations being made against the person and work of our beloved founder, Natuzza Evolo. We believe that these attacks are not only unjust and untrue, but also an attempt by the enemies of God to undermine the important work that Natuzza accomplished during her life. Therefore, we are asking for the support of all the faithful in offering prayers and intercession for Natuzza, that she may be strengthened and protected against these spiritual attacks.”
The Fraternity of the Servants of the Cross is not alone in their request for prayers and intercession for Natuzza Evolo. Many of her followers, who affectionately refer to her as “Mamma Natuzza,” continue to view her as a saintly figure who had a profound impact on their lives.
One such follower is Maria Aviles, a native of Mexico who now lives in California. Aviles first learned about Evolo through a friend who had visited her in Italy. Intrigued by what she heard, Aviles decided to make a pilgrimage to Scillato to meet Evolo for herself.
“I’ll never forget the first time I laid eyes on her,” Aviles recalls. “She just radiated this incredible sense of peace and love. I felt like I was in the presence of a living saint.”
Aviles says that she experienced numerous profound spiritual experiences while in Evolo’s presence, including visions, dreams, and healings. She also credits Evolo with helping her to deepen her prayer life and relationship with God.
“Natuzza was truly an instrument of God’s mercy and grace,” Aviles says. “She had this incredible ability to see into people’s souls and bring healing and restoration. I know that she continues to intercede for me in heaven, and I am so grateful for her love and prayers.”
As the request for prayer and intercession for Natuzza Evolo continues to spread, many are hopeful that her legacy will be protected and preserved for future generations. Whether or not she ever officially receives the designation of saint, her impact on the lives of those who knew her remains undeniable.
“Natuzza was a true mother to all who came to her,” says Aviles. “She showed us what it means to love unconditionally and to trust in God’s providence. I will always cherish the time I spent with her, and I will continue to pray to her for guidance and intercession.”
