The Bible reminds us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We are all guilty of sin, and it is the cause of our separation from God. However, God in his great mercy has made a way for us to be reconciled to him.

The book of Hebrews tells us that “without the shedding of there is no forgiveness of sins” (Hebrews 9:22). This means that sin requires a penalty, and the penalty for sin is death. However, God provided a substitute for us in the person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus willingly went to the cross and shed his blood as a sacrifice for our sins. He took our penalty upon himself and paid the price for our sins. This is the power of the Precious Blood of Jesus. It has the power to wash away our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Apostle John reminds us of this truth when he says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). When we come to Jesus with a repentant heart and confess our sins, his blood washes us clean and makes us pure.

Not only does the Precious Blood of Jesus cleanse us from our sins, but it also gives us victory over the power of sin in our lives. The Apostle Paul says, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under ” (Romans 6:14).

Through the Precious Blood of Jesus, we have been set free from the power of sin. We no longer have to be slaves to our sinful nature, but we can live in the freedom that Christ has won for us. This is a powerful truth that can transform our lives if we allow it to do so.

As we continue in this Novena to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus, let us meditate on the power of his blood to wash away our sins and give us victory over sin. Let us come to him with a repentant heart and surrender our lives to him. May his Precious Blood always be our strength and our refuge. Amen.
