“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is a 2014 American adventure fantasy film directed by Shawn Levy and written by David Guion and Michael Handelman. The movie is a sequel to “Night at the Museum” (2006) and “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” (2009).

The film opens in London’s British Museum where Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), the night watchman of the Museum of Natural History in New York, has traveled to in order to save the magic that brings the museum exhibits to life at night. The magic is failing and Larry must find the cause, but all is not what it seems. He soon discovers that the Tablet of Ahkmenrah, the ancient Egyptian artifact with the power to animate the museum exhibits, is corroding and the magic in the tablet must be restored.

Along with Teddy Roosevelt (the late Robin Williams), Ahkmenrah’s parents (Rami Malek and Anjali Jay), Jedediah (Owen Wilson), Octavius (Steve Coogan), Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher), Sacajawea (Mizuo Peck), and Dexter the Capuchin monkey, Larry is determined to find the way to restore the tablet’s power. To fix the tablet, he must take it to ‘The Tomb of the Monkey God’ – an ancient Egyptian pyramid that contains the secret of the tablet’s magic.

The new film has the same mix of humor, action, and adventure that made the first two so successful. There are plenty of moments that will make you laugh out loud, including a scene where Larry and Teddy steal clothes from the wax figures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The movie also has some intense moments, such as when the group faces deadly obstacles on their journey to restore the tablet’s magic.

One of the highlights of the film is its depiction of the British Museum. The movie showcases some of the most iconic exhibits in the museum, including the Rosetta Stone, the Easter Island heads, and the ancient Egyptian mummies. The special effects used to bring these exhibits to life are impressive, and they make the museum feel like a magical place.

Ben Stiller is fantastic as Larry Daley, the bumbling but lovable night watchman. He brings a sense of humor and heart to the role, and his chemistry with the other actors is great. The late Robin Williams gives another memorable performance as Teddy Roosevelt, the wise and noble president.

The supporting cast is equally strong. Rami Malek and Anjali Jay are excellent as Ahkmenrah’s parents, and Patrick Gallagher is hilarious as Attila the Hun. Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan’s Jedediah and Octavius continue to provide comic relief, and Mizuo Peck’s Sacajawea has a bigger role in this movie than in the previous two.

It’s sad to think that this will be the final installment of the “Night at the Museum” franchise. The film ends on a touching note, with Larry and Teddy saying goodbye to each other and the museum exhibits for the last time. However, the movie is a fitting tribute to Williams, who passed away in 2014, and his character’s legacy.

In general, “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is an entertaining and fun movie for people of all ages. It’s a perfect holiday movie for families to enjoy together. The film’s mix of humor, action, and adventure, along with its touching moments, make it a must-see for fans of the franchise.
