Nash’s portrayal of Raineesha, a brash and confident officer with a penchant for outrageous outfits, was a standout and helped establish her as a comedic force to be reckoned with.

After “Reno 911!” ended, Nash continued to work on a variety of television projects. She had recurring roles on shows like “The Soul Man” and “Scream Queens,” and she also hosted her own talk show, “Niecy Nash’s Wedding Bash.” However, it was her role as Desna Simms on the TNT series “Claws” that really proved her range as an actress. In “Claws,” Nash plays a nail salon owner who becomes embroiled in the world of organized crime. She brings a potent mix of toughness and vulnerability to the role, earning critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase.

In addition to her acting work, Nash has also become a producer, writer, and host. She created and produced the reality series “Leave It to Niecy,” which followed her daily life as she balanced her career, family, and personal life.
