The Minnesota Vikings have a storied history in the National Football League (NFL), dating back to their inception in 1961. Over the years, the Vikings have had some of the most talented players in the league, including hall of famers like Fran Tarkenton, Randy Moss, and Cris Carter.

Despite their talent, the Vikings have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout their history. They’ve made the playoffs 30 times, but have only reached the Super Bowl four times, with no wins to show for it.

Recently, though, the Vikings have been looking like contenders. Led by their star quarterback Kirk Cousins, the Vikings made the playoffs in 2019 and are poised to make another run this season.

Cousins is a veteran quarterback who has found success in the NFL over the course of his career. He’s known for his accuracy and ability to make quick decisions, something that has been particularly important in the Vikings’ offense.

In addition to Cousins, the Vikings have a talented group of players on both sides of the ball. On defense, they have defensive end Danielle Hunter, who ranks among the league’s best pass rushers. They also have linebacker Eric Kendricks, who was named to the Pro Bowl last season.

Offensively, the Vikings have a strong rushing attack led by running back Dalvin Cook. Cook has become one of the best backs in the league, and his ability to pick up yards on the ground helps take pressure off of Cousins and the passing game.

And let’s not forget about wide receiver Adam Thielen, who is arguably one of the best receivers in the league. Thielen has great hands and excellent route running abilities, making him a reliable target for Cousins.

With all of these pieces in place, the Vikings are set up for success. But as with any team, there are a few concerns that need to be addressed if they want to make a deep playoff run.

One of the main concerns for the Vikings is their offensive line. The team has struggled to protect Cousins, and if they can’t improve in this area, it could hinder their ability to move the ball down the field effectively.

Another issue for the Vikings is their secondary. Last season, the team allowed 263.6 passing yards per game, which ranked 15th in the league. While this isn’t awful, it’s an area the team could stand to improve in if they want to be a real threat come playoff time.

Overall, though, the Vikings are a talented team with a lot of potential. If they can address their weaknesses and continue to build on their strengths, they could very well find themselves making a deep playoff run this season. And who knows, maybe they’ll finally get that elusive Super Bowl win they’ve been chasing for so long.
