Instructions:
1. Start by preheating the oven to 400°F. Place the cherry tomatoes on the vine in a baking dish. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the tomatoes and add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft.
2. While the tomatoes are roasting, chop up the onion and garlic. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry until lightly browned.
3. When the tomatoes are done, remove them from the oven and set aside. Increase the oven temperature to 450°F.
4. Season the rib eye steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a dry skillet over high heat. When the skillet is hot, add the steak and sear for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove the steak from the skillet and place it on a baking sheet.
