St. Rita, you who, blest by Divine grace and with an abundance of faith, in your youth left your family, world and every worldly aspiration, in order to seek Jesus Christ and cloister yourself in the convent of St. Mary Magdalene in Cascia; obtain for us the grace to abandon everything that prevents us from following the path of Christ; pray for us.
St. Rita, you who, having loved and singleheartedly served God your whole life, were at last given over to the work of helping your neighbor and by your humble labors achieved great things: obtain for us that serene confidence which encourages us to undertake good works and obtain that grace to carry them out with steadfastness and persevering undertakings which, being accomplished, give glory to God and great benefits to our neighbor; pray for us.
St. Rita, you who interceded for the cause of peace and unity among kinsmen when the blood of Florence and that of Perugia flowed in torrents, and through your blessed words, brought the leaders of both factions to reconcile before God at the foot of the Cross; obtain for us the grace of perfect peace and unity in our heart, in our family and in the Church, so that through the faithful following of His precepts we may participate in eternal peace and blessedness; pray for us.

St. Rita, you who, drawn by your great love for holy obedience, for the penance of Jesus and for the love of His Passion, spent forty years in suffering and pain in a thorn-bush, who were by this sign so closely and ineffably united with your suffering, redeeming, crucified Jesus; obtain for us the grace to bear our afflictions without complaint, united, as you were, to the Divine Redeemer and through them to obtain the value and benefit which they can bring to our souls; pray for us.
St. Rita, you who, even as you were dying, sought to conciliate your brethren in the heavenly Kingdom, sending them a singular blessing; obtain for us the grace that at the end of our life, we may be purified and made immaculate before the throne of God by the power of the Sacraments and through the love of God; pray for us.
Loving God, you revealed yourself to Saint Rita as a God of mercy and forgiveness. Through her prayers and intercession, grant us the grace to be strong in faith, persevering in hope, and fervent in charity. May Saint Rita’s example of love and selflessness inspire us to lead lives of holiness, and may her powerful prayers bring us closer to you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
