Born in Vancouver, Canada, Jonathan and his brother Drew were raised on a ranch in Alberta. Jonathan’s parents were both performers – his father a folk singer and his mother a paralegal. From a young age, Jonathan and Drew were both drawn to the entertainment industry. Jonathan even studied performance and acting while pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Calgary.
In 1996, the brothers began investing in real estate and renovating properties. Their success soon caught the attention of HGTV, and in 2011 they premiered their show Property Brothers, which quickly became a hit.
Jonathan’s talent as a contractor and designer has been key to the success of both the show and his career. His attention to detail and ability to create dream homes for clients have made him one of the most sought-after property experts in the industry.
Beyond Property Brothers, Jonathan has also become a successful philanthropist, using his influence to support charitable causes around the world. In 2012, he founded the non-profit organization, Scott Brothers Global, which aims to help disadvantaged communities by providing basic necessities such as food, shelter, and education.
Jonathan’s passion for design and construction is evident in everything he does. Whether he’s renovating a property, hosting a television show, or working with a charitable organization, he always puts his heart and soul into every project he undertakes.
What truly sets Jonathan apart is his unique ability to connect with people. His warmth and leadership skills, combined with his deep understanding of the construction industry, have made him one of the most respected and beloved personalities in the field.
Despite his numerous successes, Jonathan hasn’t forgotten his roots. He still spends time on his family’s ranch in Alberta, where he finds inspiration for his designs and renovations. He also remains deeply committed to educating others about the importance of sustainable building practices, and is a strong advocate for green living.
Jonathan has received numerous accolades for his work, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for contributions to Canada, and the prestigious HGTV Personality of the Year award in 2017. He has also authored a number of books on home renovation and design, cementing his reputation as a leading expert in the field.
All in all, Jonathan Scott is a multi-talented individual who has carved out an impressive career as a television personality, contractor, and philanthropist. Through his work and his commitment to improving the lives of others, he has become an inspiration to many – and a true testament to what can be achieved with hard work, passion, and a little bit of creativity.
