Joey Gallo was born on November 19, 1993, in Henderson, Nevada. He spent his childhood playing baseball and attending Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. During his time in high school, Gallo caught the attention of the Texas Rangers, who drafted him in the first round of the 2012 MLB draft.
