Jesus himself had to endure tremendous trials and suffering during his time on earth. He was ridiculed, rejected, and ultimately crucified on the . But through it all, he remained steadfast in his faith and commitment to his Heavenly Father.
It’s important to recognize that Jesus empathizes with our struggles and understands what it’s like to face adversity. Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.”
When we cry out to Jesus and ask him for strength, we can trust that he hears us and will answer our prayer. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”
But it’s not enough to just ask for strength and expect it to magically appear. We have to actively seek it out and trust that Jesus will provide. Here are some ways we can do that:
– Pray: When we pray, we are communicating with God and inviting him into our lives. We can be honest with him about our struggles and ask for his strength to help us overcome them.
– Read the Bible: The Bible is full of stories of people who faced difficult situations and overcame them with God’s help. When we read the Bible, we can learn from their experiences and be encouraged by their faith.
– Surrender: Sometimes the reason we feel overwhelmed is that we are trying to control everything ourselves. When we surrender our worries and fears to Jesus, we can trust that he will take care of us.
– Surround ourselves with support: We don’t have to go through life’s struggles alone. By surrounding ourselves with friends, family, and a supportive community, we can find strength and encouragement.
– Focus on gratitude: When we focus on what we’re thankful for, it can help shift our perspective and remind us of God’s goodness. It’s hard to feel overwhelmed when we’re filled with gratitude.
In summary, when we cry out to Jesus and ask him for strength, we can trust that he will provide it. But we have to actively seek it out and trust that he will come through for us. By praying, reading the Bible, surrendering, surrounding ourselves with support, and focusing on gratitude, we can find the strength we need to face whatever challenges come our way.
