What You Will Need
Before we begin, ensure you have the following items:
- A jailbroken PS3
- Multiman software
- USB storage device
- Backed-up PS3 game files in ISO or folder format
Step 1: Prepare Your USB Storage Device
Connect your USB storage device to your computer and format it to FAT32 or exFAT file system. Make sure to backup any important files on the USB beforehand, as the formatting process will erase all data.
Step 2: Transfer Multiman to Your PS3
Download the Multiman software from a trusted source onto your computer. Extract the files and transfer the “PS3” folder to the root of your USB storage device. Safely eject the USB from your computer once the transfer is complete.
Step 3: Install Multiman on Your PS3
Insert the USB storage device into one of the available USB ports on your jailbroken PS3. On the PS3, navigate to the Game menu and select “Install Packages.” Choose the Multiman package file from the USB and follow the on-screen prompts to install Multiman on your PS3.
Step 4: Transfer PS3 Game Backups to Your PS3
Using either FTP or the File Manager within Multiman, transfer your backed-up PS3 game files (in ISO or folder format) to the internal or external storage of your PS3. Make sure the games are placed in the correct directory according to Multiman’s guidelines.
Step 5: Launch Multiman and Start Playing
Once your game backups are successfully transferred, exit Multiman and return to the PS3 home screen. Launch Multiman from the Game menu and select the game you want to play. Multiman will load the game, and you can now enjoy playing your PS3 backups without the need for the original discs!
With this step-by-step guide, you can now start playing your favorite PS3 game backups using Multiman. Remember, this process requires a jailbroken PS3 and adherence to copyright laws. Backup and play only the games you own to ensure you enjoy your gaming experience legally. Happy gaming!
