Step 1: Open the Messenger App
The first step to removing the Access Time on Messenger is to open the Messenger app on your mobile device. Look for the recognizable blue chat bubble icon with a white lightning bolt inside. Tap on the app to launch it.
Step 2: Access Settings
Once you’re in the Messenger app, locate the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. This gear icon represents the Settings menu. Tap on the icon to access the Messenger settings.
Step 3: Find the Active Status Menu
Within the Messenger settings, scroll down until you find the Privacy section. In the Privacy section, locate and tap on the “Active Status” option. This is where you can control your access time visibility.
Step 4: Adjust Your Active Status

If you want to remove the access time, toggle the switch next to “Show when you’re active” to the off position. This will disable the access time feature.
Step 5: Save Your Changes
After turning off the access time feature, tap on the “OK” button to save your changes. Once saved, Messenger will no longer display your access time to others.
