Step 1: Draw the Head
To start, draw a large oval shape for the head. This will be the foundation for the rest of the kitten’s features. Draw two smaller circles at the top of the oval for the ears. Add a small triangle shape at the bottom of the oval for the nose.
Step 2: Add the Eyes and Whiskers
Draw two large circles in the middle of the head for the eyes. Inside each circle, draw another smaller circle and shade it in except for a small white spot train-a-kitten” title=”How to train a kitten”>that represents the reflection. Above the eyes, draw a curved line for the eyebrows. Draw a series of thin lines from the nose to represent the whiskers.
Step 3: Draw the Body and Legs
Draw a small rounded triangle shape below the head for the kitten’s body. Next, add two small circles below the body for the paws. Draw two long, thin rectangles for the legs. Connect the rectangles to the body and paws.
Step 4: Add Details
Add some details to the kitten’s face and body. Draw a small curved line below the nose to represent the mouth. Draw some fur around the kitten’s face and add a few lines to the ears for texture. Add some spots or stripes on the body if desired.
Step 5: Shade
To add some dimension to your drawing, shade in the areas where shadows would be cast. Shade under the chin, around the paws, and in between the legs.
Step 6: Final Touches
To finish your drawing, you can erase any unwanted lines and add some color to your kitten. The great thing about drawing in a cartoon style is that you can use any color you like! Experiment with different colors and patterns to make your cartoon kitten unique.
