How to delete videos from YouTube

YouTube has become one of the go-to platforms for sharing videos with the world. However, there may be instances when you want to a video from your channel for various reasons. Whether it’s an outdated video, a change in your content strategy, or a need to remove copyrighted material, deleting a video from YouTube is a straightforward process. In this article, we will guide you on how to delete videos from YouTube effectively.

Step 1: Sign in to your YouTube account
Before you can start deleting videos, make sure you are signed in to your YouTube account. If you don’t have one, create a new account or use your existing Google account to access YouTube.

Step 2: Go to the YouTube Studio
Once you are signed in, click on your profile icon at the top right corner of the page. From the drop-down menu, select “YouTube Studio.” This will take you to the YouTube Studio dashboard, where you can manage your channel and its contents.

Step 3: Navigate to the Videos section
In the YouTube Studio dashboard, locate the left-hand menu and click on the “Videos” tab. This will display all the videos that are currently on your channel.

Note that you can only delete videos that you have uploaded to your channel, not videos that you have liked or saved from other users.

Step 6: Choose “Delete Forever”
From the “More Actions” drop-down menu, select the option that says “Delete Forever.” A confirmation dialog box will appear, warning you that deleting a video removes all its views, likes, comments, and playlists. Take a moment to consider whether you want to proceed with the deletion.

Step 7: Confirm the deletion
If you are sure you want to delete the selected videos , click on the “Delete Forever” button in the confirmation dialog box. This will delete the videos from your channel and erase all associated data.

Step 8: Review your deleted videos
After deleting the videos, YouTube automatically moves them to your “Deleted Videos” folder, which can be found in the “Videos” section of the YouTube Studio. You can review your deleted videos in this folder for up to 30 days. If you change your mind and want to restore any of the videos within this period, you can click on the “Restore” button next to each video.
