What You’ll Need
- Minecraft Java Edition
- A world in Minecraft
Step 1: Gather the Required Materials
Before you can start building your laser, you’ll need to gather the necessary materials. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 5 Redstone Dust
- 2 Redstone Repeaters
- 3 Redstone Torches
- 1 Lever
- 1 Glass Block
- 1 Target Block
Step 2: Build a Redstone Torch Base
Start by placing two Redstone Torches on the ground, one block apart. Then, place a block of your choice on top of each torch. This will serve as the base for your laser.
Step 3: Create the Laser’s Arms
Next, place three Redstone Dust on top of each of the blocks you placed in the previous step. Connect the Redstone Dust with blocks, forming two arms extending from the base.
Step 4: Add the Redstone Repeaters
Place one Redstone Repeater facing the opposite direction on each arm, ensuring that they’re facing towards the base. This will control the flow of redstone power in the laser.
Step 5: Install the Glass Block
Place a Glass Block on top of the Redstone Repeaters. This will give your laser a sleek and futuristic look, while allowing the redstone power to pass through.
Step 6: Add the Trigger Mechanism
To activate the laser, you’ll need to add a trigger mechanism. Place a Redstone Torch on each block adjacent to the Redstone Dust at the base of the laser. Then, place a Lever adjacent to one of the Redstone Torches. Toggling the lever on and off will activate and deactivate the laser, respectively.
Step 7: Implement the Target
The final step is to place the Target Block at the end of the laser’s arms. This is where the laser will emit from, so make sure it’s positioned correctly.
And there you have it! You’ve successfully created your laser in Minecraft. Experiment with different designs and incorporate it into your world to enhance your gaming experience. Happy crafting!
