What You’ll Need
- Computer with Nero software installed
- Protected DVD you want to copy
- Blank DVD to burn the copied content
Step-by-Step Guide
Follow these steps to successfully copy a protected DVD using Nero:
Step 1: Launch Nero
Open Nero software on your computer. You can find it in your program files or search for it using the Windows Start menu.
Step 2: Select “Copy” Option
Once Nero is open, click on the “Copy” tab at the top of the screen. This will open up the copying options for you to choose from.
Step 3: Choose the DVD Copy Mode
In the copying options, you will have different modes available. Select the appropriate mode based on your needs. Nero provides options like “Entire disc,” “Main movie,” “Split disc,” and more.
Step 4: Load the Protected DVD
Insert the protected DVD you want to copy into your computer’s DVD drive. Nero will automatically detect and load the DVD content in the software.
Step 5: Select and Customize Source
Once the DVD is loaded, you’ll see a list of the DVD’s contents on the left side of the Nero interface. Select the desired content you want to copy.
You can further customize the selected content by clicking on the “More” button. Here, you can choose audio and subtitle preferences, adjust the quality, and add menus if desired.
Step 6: Choose Destination
Nero provides several options for saving the copied content. Select your preferred destination, such as a DVD burner connected to your computer or creating an ISO image file.
Step 7: Start Copying Process
Once you’ve set up all the options, click on the “Copy” button to initiate the copying process. Nero will start copying the protected DVD content to the destination you selected.
Step 8: Burn the Copied Content
If you selected a DVD burner as your destination, Nero will prompt you to insert a blank DVD after the copying process is complete. Follow the instructions and insert the blank DVD to burn the copied content.
If you chose to create an ISO image file, Nero will save the copied content as an image file. You can then use other software or Nero itself to burn the ISO file to a blank DVD later.
Step 9: Complete the Process
Once the burning is finished, Nero will notify you, and you can remove the copied DVD from the burner. Congratulations! You’ve successfully copied a protected DVD using Nero!
