What is a Relay Switch?

Step 5: Connect the Coil
Finally, connect the coil of the relay switch. Connect one end of the coil to the V+ terminal and the other end to the normally open (NO) terminal. This allows the coil to energize when the relay switch is activated, closing the circuit and turning on the controlled device.
Step 6: Secure the Connections
Once all the connections are made, double-check them to ensure they are secure and tight. Use a screwdriver to tighten any connection terminals if necessary. Then, cover the exposed wires with electrical tape to prevent any accidental contact that could potentially cause a short circuit.
Step 7: Test the Relay Switch
Before using the relay switch for its intended purpose, it is crucial to test it. Apply power to the coil by activating the relay switch and check if the connected device turns on or off as expected. This verification step ensures that your connections are correct and the relay switch is functioning properly.
