Step 1: Prepare for Closure
Before you begin closing your Decathlon 2 Seconds Tent, make sure you remove any items inside the tent and clear the surrounding area. This will prevent any damage to the tent or any items inside. Once you’ve done this, follow the steps below.
Step 2: Removing Tent Stakes
Start by removing the tent stakes from each corner of the tent. Gently wiggle each stake while pulling it out of the ground to avoid damaging the tent fabric. Place the removed tent stakes in a safe place, such as a bag or pocket, to avoid misplacing them.
Step 3: Locate the Pull Tabs
Next, locate the pull tabs on either side of the tent. These pull tabs are usually brightly colored and easy to spot. They are designed to quickly release the tension and collapse the tent.
Step 4: Pull the Tabs Simultaneously
Once you’ve located the pull tabs, grasp them firmly and pull them towards each other simultaneously. Apply moderate force, but be careful not to use excessive force that could damage the tent. By pulling the tabs together, you will release the tension and allow the tent to collapse.
Step 5: Folding the Tent
As the tent collapses, carefully fold the tent towards the center. Start with the back end and fold it over the front, making sure all the air is pushed out. Continue folding until the tent is compact and flat.
Step 6: Rolling and Securing
Finally, roll the tent tightly from one end to the other, starting at the side where the door is located. This will ensure a tight and compact roll. Once rolled, secure the tent using the attached straps or a separate bungee cord. Double-check the tightness of the roll to prevent any unraveling during transportation or storage.
Closing your Decathlon 2 Seconds Tent doesn’t have to be a frustrating experience. By following these simple step-by-step instructions, you can quickly and easily close your tent in just 2 seconds. Remember to practice the process a few times before your camping trip to become familiar with the steps. Happy camping!
