Step 1: Choose the Right Tool
The first thing you’ll need to do is find a reliable tool that allows you to change the audio in a YouTube video. One great option is the “Video Editor” feature available directly on YouTube.
Step 2: Access the “Video Editor” on YouTube
- Log in to your YouTube account.
- Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select “YouTube Studio” from the dropdown menu. This will take you to the YouTube Studio Dashboard.
- In the left panel, you will see a menu. Click on “Videos” and then select “Video Editor” from the submenu.
Step 3: Choose the Video to Edit
Once you’re in the Video Editor, you’ll need to choose the video you want to modify. You can either select a video from your uploaded videos or paste the YouTube video URL in the designated field.
Step 4: Remove Existing Audio
After selecting the video, you’ll see a timeline with the video’s audio waveform displayed beneath it. To remove the existing audio, simply click on the audio waveform and press the “Delete” button on your keyboard.
Step 5: Upload New Audio
Now it’s time to add the new audio to your video.
- Click on the “Audio” tab located above the timeline.
- You have two options here: you can either choose from the library of free audio tracks provided by YouTube, or you can click “Upload” to use your own audio file.
- If you opt for the YouTube audio library, you can browse through various genres and moods to find the perfect audio track for your video.
- If you have your own audio file, click “Upload” and select the file from your computer.
Step 6: Adjust the New Audio
Once you’ve uploaded or selected a new audio track, you may want to make further adjustments.
- To change the volume of the new audio, simply drag the volume control slider left or right.
- If you want the new audio to start at a specific point, click on the waveform and drag it left or right along the timeline.
Step 7: Preview and Publish
After you’ve made all the necessary audio changes, it’s time to preview your video. Make sure to watch it from start to finish to ensure everything is perfect.
- To preview your video, click on the play button located just below the video preview window.
If you’re satisfied with the result, click “Save” and your modified video will be generated.
There you have it! You’ve successfully changed the audio in your YouTube video using YouTube’s built-in “Video Editor” feature. Now you’re all set to share your video with its new audio track!
