What is a Pasturatore?
A pasturatore is a fishing tool used to distribute bait in the water in order to attract fish. It consists of a container that holds the bait and releases it slowly into the water. This allows you to effectively attract fish to your fishing spot and increase your chances of a successful catch.
Materials Needed
In order to build your own pasturatore, you will need the following materials:
- 1 PVC pipe (2-inch diameter, 1 ft long)
- 1 PVC end cap (2-inch diameter)
- 1 PVC reducer (2-inch to 1/2-inch diameter)
- 1 PVC 90-degree elbow (1/2-inch diameter)
- 1 PVC adapter (1/2-inch male thread to 1/2-inch slip)
- 1 PVC ball valve (1/2-inch diameter)
- 1 PVC plug (1/2-inch diameter)
- Teflon tape
- Strong adhesive
- Drill
- Saw
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to build your own pasturatore:
Step 1: Assemble the PVC Pipe
Take the PVC pipe and attach the PVC end cap to one end. This will act as the container for the bait. Make sure it is firmly attached using strong adhesive.
Step 2: Attach the PVC Reducer
Attach the PVC reducer to the other end of the PVC pipe. This will serve as the outlet for the bait. Again, use strong adhesive to ensure a secure connection.
Step 3: Connect the PVC Elbow
Connect the PVC elbow to the smaller end of the PVC reducer. This will allow the bait to flow in a downward direction.
Step 4: Install the PVC Adapter and Ball Valve
Attach the PVC adapter to the other end of the PVC elbow. Use Teflon tape to ensure a watertight seal. Next, connect the PVC ball valve to the PVC adapter. This will allow you to control the flow of bait.
Step 5: Seal the PVC Plug
Seal the open end of the PVC ball valve with the PVC plug. This will prevent any bait from escaping when not in use.
Step 6: Test and Make Adjustments
Before using the pasturatore, test it by filling it with bait and releasing it into a bucket of water. Make any necessary adjustments to ensure the bait flows smoothly and at the desired rate.
Congratulations! You have successfully built your own pasturatore. Now you can take it out on your fishing trips and attract more fish to your spot. Remember to clean your pasturatore thoroughly after each use to keep it in good condition. Happy fishing!
