Gathering the Materials
Before you begin building your cannon, you’ll need to gather a few essential materials. Here’s a list of what you’ll need:
- 10 blocks of cobblestone
- 4 blocks of redstone
- 3 blocks of iron
- 1 block of obsidian
- 1 bucket of water
- 1 bucket of lava
- 1 block of TNT
Make sure you have all of these materials in your inventory before you proceed to the next step.
Building the Base
Start by selecting a suitable location for your cannon. Once you’ve found a spot, follow these steps to build the base:
- Place four blocks of cobblestone in a square shape to form the corners of the base.
- Connect the corners by placing cobblestone blocks in between them.
- Leave the center of the base empty.
Now you have a sturdy base for your cannon!
Constructing the Cannon Body
With the base complete, it’s time to build the body of your cannon. Follow these steps:
- Place three blocks of cobblestone on top of each corner of the base to form the walls.
- Leave an opening at the front of the cannon for the barrel.
- Place two blocks of cobblestone on either side of the front opening to act as support for the barrel.
You’ve now created the structure for your cannon!
Adding the Redstone Mechanism
To make your cannon functional, you’ll need to add a redstone mechanism. Here’s how:
- Place a block of redstone in the center of the base.
- On one side of the redstone block, place a block of iron.
- On the other side of the redstone block, place a block of obsidian.
- Right-click on the obsidian block with a bucket of water to create an infinite water source.
- Right-click on the iron block with a bucket of lava to activate the mechanism.
Now your cannon is ready to be loaded and fired!
Loading and Firing the Cannon
Follow these steps to load and fire your cannon:
- Place a block of TNT inside the cannon’s barrel. This will act as the projectile.
- Activate the redstone mechanism by right-clicking on the iron block.
- Step back to a safe distance.
- Watch as the cannon fires, launching the TNT towards its target!
Remember to exercise caution when using your cannon, as it can cause damage to the surrounding area.
