Step 1: Open the Instagram App
Launch the Instagram app on your mobile device and log into your account if you haven’t already.
Step 2: Access Your Stories
In the top-left corner of the app’s home screen, tap on your profile picture to access your profile page. Once you’re on your profile page, locate the “Stories” highlights section, which is usually positioned at the top of the page.
Step 3: Archive a Story
To archive a specific Story, tap and hold the Story you wish to archive. A pop-up menu will appear with several options. Select “Archive” from the menu, and your Story will be instantly moved to the Archive folder.
Step 4: View Archived Stories
To view your archived Stories, go back to your profile page and find the “Archive” labeled circle icon (usually located in the top-right corner of the screen). Tap on the icon to access all your archived Stories.
Step 5: Unarchive a Story
If you decide to bring a Story back to your public profile, follow these steps to unarchive it. Begin by entering the “Archive” section, then find the archived Story you want to unarchive. Tap and hold the Story, and a pop-up menu will appear. Select “Show on Profile” to unarchive the Story, making it visible to your followers once again.
Step 6: Delete a Story
If you no longer want to keep a Story, you have the option to delete it permanently. Within the Archive section, locate the specific Story you wish to delete. Tap and hold the Story, then select “Delete” from the pop-up menu. Confirm your decision by tapping “Delete” again, and the Story will be removed from your account.
With Instagram’s Archive feature, you can now keep your Stories organized without cluttering your profile page.
