The goal is to locate an orb that needs to be picked up and carried to a specific location. This orb will unlock the final boss encounter of the dungeon.
Defeating the final boss will reward you with a quest step called “The Journey.” This quest step requires you to solve another puzzle, this time involving a series of symbols found throughout the Moon. Explore the Moon and interact with the symbols to decipher the pattern needed to complete this step. Once you have gathered the necessary clues, return to the Pit of Heresy dungeon and interact with the hidden puzzle room near the entrance.
Upon successfully solving the puzzle, a door will open, revealing a hidden chest. Open the chest to obtain a Xenophage quest item called “Bound Manacle.” Take this item back to Eris Morn, who will provide you with the next quest step called “The Great Hunt.”
“The Great Hunt” takes you back to the Moon where you will encounter a boss named “The Sorrow.” Defeating this boss will reward you with another Xenophage quest item called “Ritual of the Forsaken.” With this item in hand, return to the Pit of Heresy and interact with a specific spot to initiate the final quest step.
