The new land, called Dreamlight Valley, will be located near the Fantasyland area of Disneyland Park. It’s been described as a place where guests can step inside their favorite Disney stories, with attractions and experiences based on films like Tangled, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, and more.
One of the standout attractions in Dreamlight Valley will be a new dark ride based on the hit film Tangled. Guests will be able to hop aboard a boat and journey through the lantern-filled kingdom of Corona, with scenes from the movie brought to life around them.
Another must-see attraction will be a new rollercoaster based on Frozen, one of the most popular and beloved animated films in recent memory. Dubbed “Frozen Ever After,” the ride will take visitors on a journey through the icy world of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and the gang, with some surprises along the way.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Disney expansion without plenty of opportunities for character interactions and photo ops. Dreamlight Valley will feature meet-and-greet areas where guests can snap a pic with their favorite Disney characters, as well as themed restaurants and shops to grab a bite or souvenirs.
The project is still in the planning stages, but Disney has promised that it will be a truly immersive experience for guests, with special attention paid to the details that make Disney films so special.
Dreamlight Valley is just one part of a massive expansion at the Disneyland Resort, as Disney continues to invest in its California parks. Other recent additions include the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout attraction at Disney California Adventure Park and a new land based on Star Wars in development for both Disneyland Park and Disney World in Florida.
With Dreamlight Valley, Disney is continuing its tradition of bringing beloved stories and characters to life in its parks. For fans of these classic animated films, it promises to be a dream come true.
