Costa Smeralda, a popular holiday destination in northern Sardinia, has opened Italy’s first Guacamole bar, catering to the growing demand for international cuisine in the region.

The Guacamole bar, located at the Piazzetta of Porto Cervo, offers a variety of traditional and exotic avocado-based recipes, from classic Mexican guacamole to creative variations such as guacamole with shrimp and mango salsa or guacamole with bacon and egg.

The idea for the Guacamole bar was born from the vision of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, a group of investors and entrepreneurs who have been working to promote the area’s tourism and gastronomic heritage.

According to Alessandro Meda, the president of the Consortium, the Guacamole bar is meant to add an innovative and fun twist to the traditional culinary scene of the Costa Smeralda, and to expand the gastronomic horizons of both locals and tourists.

“We wanted to create a place where people can taste not only the best Italian and Sardinian food, but also global delicacies that are becoming more and more popular,” Meda said. “We chose guacamole as our flagship product because it’s fresh, healthy, and versatile, and because it represents the fusion of different cultures and traditions, which is what Costa Smeralda is all about.”

The Guacamole bar’s menu includes a range of options for different tastes and dietary needs, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options. The avocados used for the recipes are sourced from local farms in Sardinia, and are certified organic and sustainable.

The bar also offers a variety of drinks and cocktails that pair well with the guacamole, such as margaritas, mojitos, and sangrias, as well as local wines and beers.

The Guacamole bar has already gained popularity among both locals and visitors, who appreciate the quality, freshness, and creativity of the dishes, as well as the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the bar.

“I love the idea of having a Guacamole bar in Sardinia, it’s a great way to showcase the diversity and richness of global cuisine, while still preserving the authenticity and uniqueness of the local traditions,” said Marco, a tourist from Milan. “The guacamole here is simply amazing, and it’s great to have so many different options to choose from.”

The Guacamole bar is just one of the many initiatives that the Costa Smeralda Consortium has launched to promote the area’s cultural, natural, and culinary heritage. The Consortium has also organized food and wine festivals, cooking classes, and cultural tours to showcase the best of Sardinia’s tradition and innovation.

The opening of Italy’s first Guacamole bar in Costa Smeralda is a sign of the increasing interest and demand for international and exotic cuisine in Italy, a country known for its rich culinary heritage and traditional recipes.

As Alessandro Meda puts it, “The Guacamole bar is not just a novelty, it’s a statement about the evolution of the culinary scene in Italy and the world. It’s about embracing diversity, creativity, and innovation, while still valuing and respecting the roots and history of our food culture.”
