Christina Applegate

Applegate was born on November 25, 1971, in Hollywood, California. Her mother was a singer and and her father was a record producer. She began her career at a young age, appearing in commercials and television shows.

One of her most memorable early roles was as Kelly Bundy in the popular sitcom Married… with Children, which aired from 1987 to 1997. Applegate played the character for all 11 seasons, becoming a household name and earning several award nominations for her performance.

After Married…with Children ended, Applegate continued to work in television, film, and theater. She appeared in a variety of roles, ranging from romantic comedies to horror movies.

One of her most successful film roles was in the hit comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Applegate played the female lead, Veronica Corningstone, alongside Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell. The film was a box office success and led to a sequel, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

In addition to her acting career, Applegate is also a producer. She co-founded the production company, Right Action, with her producing partner, Jessica Elbaum. Their company has produced several successful films, including the comedy, Booksmart, and the drama, Dead to Me.

Applegate has been recognized for her talents with numerous award nominations and wins. She won an Emmy Award for her guest appearance on the popular sitcom, Friends, and has been nominated for several Golden Globe Awards for her TV and film work. She was also honored with a Tony Award nomination for her work in the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity.

Outside of her career, Applegate is also known for her philanthropic efforts. She is a breast cancer survivor and has been a dedicated supporter of breast cancer research and education. In 2020, Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the nervous system. She announced her diagnosis on social media, saying that she was receiving treatment and was optimistic about her future.

Despite her health challenges, Applegate continues to work in the entertainment industry and remains an inspiration to her fans. Her talent, grace, and dedication to her craft and her causes have made her one of the most respected and admired actresses of her generation.
