Reiner was also a prolific writer and author. He penned several books, including the autobiographical “My Anecdotal Life: A Memoir” (2003); a novel, “NNNNN: A Novel” (2006); and a memoir, “Too Busy to Die” (1998).

In addition to his work in show business, Reiner was also known for his activism and philanthropy. He was a vocal supporter of various charities, including the American Cancer Society and the United Cerebral Palsy Association.
