Iowa State University has been known for its renowned athletics programs. Among these programs, its football team has been gaining recognition in recent years with its incredible performances. Breece Hall is a 20-year-old running back from Wichita, Kansas. He is currently a sophomore at Iowa State University and has been making waves in college football since his debut in 2019. Hall’s journey to Iowa State football began in high school, where he played for the Northwest High School Grizzlies. In his junior year, Hall ran for a total of 2,127 yards and 32 touchdowns. He was named the Wichita Eagle’s Small School Football Player of the Year and a finalist for the Kansas Football Coaches Association Offensive Player of the Year.

In his senior year, Hall became the state’s all-time leading rusher with a total of 8,187 yards and 121 touchdowns. He was again named the Wichita Eagle’s Player of the Year and received other accolades such as Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year.

Upon graduating high school, Hall received numerous college football scholarship offers from top universities nationwide. However, he chose Iowa State, where he recently made history.

In 2019, Hall made his debut game against the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he recorded his first touchdown as a college football player. He then went on to achieve a school record of 897 rushing yards, topping other famous former Iowa State football players such as Ennis Haywood and Troy Davis.

This year, Hall’s momentum continued, with a breakout game against Oklahoma, where he ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns. In Iowa State’s game against Missouri, Hall recorded the third-most rushing yards in a single game in school history, with a total of 264 yards.

With his impressive skills and gameplay, it’s no surprise that Hall is already being recognized in various awards. He has been named to the 2020 Maxwell Award Watch List and is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, should he decide to declare.
