Plot
The show takes place in Los Angeles and follows the story of Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), a gifted football player, who made a name for himself playing for South Crenshaw High School. Spencer lives with his mother, Grace James (Karimah Westbrook), and his little Brother, Dillon James (Jalyn Hall), in the Crenshaw area. One day, Spencer is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High School, which is located in a different part of the city.
As he moves to Beverly Hills, he is enveloped by the luxury of having access to the latest equipment, top-tier training resources and an incredibly competent football team. This new setting presents Spencer with unique challenges as he takes on a new school, faces a fierce rival, and navigates around his two worlds.
